First off, happy birthday to my twin sister Emily (even though she doesn't read mah LJ). Also, a huge freaking happy birthday to duffnstuff, Anthony Kiedis, Rick Allen (It's Rick Allen's Reincarnated Arm Day!), and myself. We all rock. ^_^

For everyone who offered comfort and/or hugs for my last post, thank you so much. What's happened in the past two weeks affected our whole county. I've put it under a cut so you don't have to read it if you don't want to.

Last night was fun. The movie was okay in my estimation; its's one of those that doesn't really affect you when you watch it, but really messes with your head later when you're alone in your dark bedroom. ;-) Also, Emily and Montal called me so that we could exhchange "Happy Birthday!"s and so Montel could be retarded. Got the OMG BIRTHDAY PENCIL~! this morning during Sunday School. And I baked some apples and sweet potatoes with a honey and cider topping, so om nom nom.

AND NOW "WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE IS PLAYING. I miss GnR fics, guys.

I've been absent from LJ for a few days (aside from Twitter updates). I'll explain why later. Can't do it now because it still makes me cry just to think about it.

Well, it's Halloween. Not dressing up tonight, but Ashley W., Amanda, Joey, Brett and I are going out to eat and then watching "Paranormal Activity" for my birthday. So that should be fun. Also bought myself a new winter coat - I've not had a proper once since I graduated from high school, which is what...five years? So yeah, it's a disgusting bright pink color and I love it.

Anyway, yeah. I'll try to be back to normal at some point.

Wow, this week is flying by, yeah?

We celebrated Mom's birthday on Sunday. Luckily Dad had taken her out by the time I got home from church so I was able to whip up a carrot cake and throw it in the oven and get a little bit cleaning done before she came home. Mom loved the cake and her new camera, so all was well. HOORAY!

Work has been...well, work. It just is what it is.

Emily has booked me a vacation with her for a weekend next month. WOOHOO! She's paying for it and everything, which is awesome. I'll get my full itinerary in the next few days or so. Even though I'll only be there for three days it's going to be great because we're going to spend an entire day in St. Louis. <3 I'm so excited, guys, I haven't seen my sister in what feels like FOREVER.

Ah, Saturday, how I've waited for thee!

I guess it was because I was sorta PMS-ing this week but I was so ready for the weekend. However, Steven kept me in a fairly good mood by his comments on a customer who came in, and cussed him up one wall and down the other for a debit not clearing his account "fast enough" (and therefore "making" him overdraw his checking account). The excerpt from the email:

"No joke, I <3 old people, but when they go 'you know what the problem is? It’s you!!' or, 'My math is right!' Fine, go ahead and overdraft your account! I’ll go eat a nice lunch at El Patio with your NSF Fee! Bwah ha ha ha ha! Perhaps get some brie cheese and spread it on a loaf of Italian Bread as your bank account slowly dwindles to nothing every time you make a transaction!!

I feel much better now!"

Heh. I have some of the stupidest (and funniest) friends.

Today has been pretty uneventful, aside from the usual cleaning that goes on. It's just what I've been needing; lately I don't plan stuff but still end up going out and having fun. It's nice to just sort of hang around the house all day (and incessantly text people, as cohkka can attest. ;-)

Well, Mom's birthday is tomorrow (she'll be the big 57, woo woo woo!) and I'm going to force myself to bake her a carrot cake. From scratch. Ugh, I hate baking but I'll do it for her. Dad got her a digital camera but he said I can claim half of the credit for him because I helped him pick it out and because I also paid for the SD card and the battery charger. Hee! Win.
